1957 Chevrolet Be-Air Sedan (6-cylinder "Blue Flame")
Tagged and driven w-e-e-k-l-y, this 1957 is ready to cruise today. This is not a car that has been sitting around. We drive it and have done a lot of work on it, including:
~ Seat Belts (Retractable, 3-Point Shoulder Belts in front and back: http://www.julianos.com)
~ Power Brakes (all lines have been replaced, dual master cylinder installed)
~ Stabilizer Bars (front and rear)
~ Tune-Up (all new spark plugs, wires, points and rotor cap)
~ Muffler (Cherry Bomb Glasspack)
~ New Windshield Seals (front and back, no more leaks!)
~ Pinion Seal
~ Lots of body work (front and rear quarter panels)
~ LED taillights (bright!)
~ Front Seat (replaced original with a comfortable, early '90s Caprice seat. The originals are both included, but will need work).
Exterior: Most of the side trim has been removed, as we've done work off and on... but it's all there! Fender skirts are included. If you'd like it to be "pretty" it'll need a paint job. Any holes in the quarter panels and doors were repaired with METAL. The front passenger window is cracked, but we have a fresh-cut replacement. The trunk lock was replaced.
Interior: The floor boards are very solid. The door panels have been removed. Again, the original seats have been removed but do come with the car. The '90s Caprice front seat is quite comfy. What was left of the original headliner was removed and the metal was prepped, primed and painted flat black.
All in all, this is a solid, drivable, old car. It has a clean/clear MD title/registration. Whoever had it before kept it mechanically maintained and we have done the same. When purchased, it was driven here from Delaware. The odometer reads 5,943 but has probably rolled over.
