OK here we go.... 1964 Impala SS. original 327. rebuilt last Jan 2013.

The car will start on the first turn of the key 100% of the time. But after driving it or letting is sit running for 10 minutes or more it has a hard time starting. Like the battery is dead. Its almost like something is getting hot. I have been working on this for a month now and can not figure it out. Here are the items I have replaced and checked:

Battery is new
200amp Alternator is new
regulator is new
Starter is new
Starter cable from the battery is new
I unhooked the alarm completely just to see if it was something I did. Along with the radio and air ride.
Also wrapped exhaust thinking maybe the starter is getting hot?

The alternator tests fine and the battery charges! Does not loose juice. Nothing is on while the car is off.

Now the Generator light has been on since I have owned the car (when on). It also gets a little brighter if I punch the gas. (this was another reason Why I unhooked everything) trying to kill two birds with one stone.

The car does have a 600 carb with electric choke. Could it be this?

Here are some things I have found in the internet that it could be - Timing, Grounds, starter, starter cable, choke.

I'm baffled an can't figure it out. reminder....starts right up....after driving It it won't start unless I let it sit for a long time (almost like It is cooling off) then will start...
