was up guys i got a 77 caprice w/350sbc 4 bbl and recently am having filling issues
it started when i stalled at carls jr and went down the block got gas in the can, then when i was pushing the gas can nozzle against the filler neck lip on the inside just above the flap opening, the nozzle slipped and got shoved 1/2" in the opening and got a lil stuck and poped it out. THIS IS WHERE I THINK IT STARTED.
but when i started it up it took another $10 no problem at the same station.
the very next day maybe 1 mile later i tried to put gas and it only took $2 before it stopped pumping and would only take few cents at a time .
the gas would be spilling from the nozzle i can put gas a little bit at a time and wait for it to drain down.
nothing looks obstructed inside i see a ribbed steel line inside it doesnt look like its obstructive.
i tried disconnecting the line to the charcol canister and leaving the cap off overnight helped a little tiny bit.
and the car running didnt drain it down any faster.
i think its the filler neck which comes to my next issue
are the filler necks welded on because its a $20 part on rockauto
it sucks because i finally got tags and smogged after riding dirty on expried may 2013 tags till april
And now i cant drive far cause and cant pump enough
