Hello friends.
I have a mysterious dump question I am trying to help a friend troubleshoot. He has a 2 pump 8 dump system, so there are (4) lift dumps and (4) return dumps. With all his dumps disconnected from my switch wire, everything checks out perfectly (measuring voltage from the switch wire, making sure switched are wired properly). The second I hook up my dumps, then activate any corner all the dumps engage (even if I am trying to only lift/dump a single corner). I suspected there was a problem with the ground so I checked to see if the pump/dump rack was somehow being energized, and it is! Meaning, when I engage a dump, somehow the pump rack is also getting 24v thus engaging all the other dumps. So, I installed all new dump stems and dump coils and made sure none of the wires were pinching anything or grounding out .still same problem.
Anyone ever had this happen? With all new dumps/stems, somehow I am getting an internal short that is allowing the ground to get power. BTW, these are genuine Delta dumps and the setup worked great for a few years. Had a pump head go out, and it hasnt worked since.
Thanks for any advice.
