So this is going to be my long term lowrider project. I was good friends with an older Hispanic gent and when he passed I helped them clear out all his collection. They gave me a really good price and first shot at this car so I couldn't pass it up. It was also the last car he brought up from Texas. Being from Ohio I think this car is super clean project material and I'm going to restore it in his honor. I know it's a 4 door and it's not an Impala but I like the car. There are a few Impala parts that will make their way into this car like the 3 light rear tail panels and the dimpled trim panels that go across the bottom of the dash. I am wondering what mods need to be done to add these though. Plans call for probably a 1972 350 that I've got laying around and the original 3 speed converted to floorshift with future plans for a tripower 348. Wheels will be a set of cragar ss(or there is a look alike rim I really like) or some low spoke count(like 30?) wires. Interior mods will be 64-66 mustang bucket seats and a 65-66 tbird back seat done in the diamond tuck velvet style. A simple 2 pump six battery setup that will allow me to hop a couple feet would be cool. Fully wrapped and molded frame. I'm unsure on the colors yet but I'm leaning towards black with gold panels or a dark cherry red with patterns. All heavy flake. Cutsom perforated mesh grill with hidden lights and possible shaved door handles and emblems. Anyways let me know what you guys think. I already pulled the locked up 235 chevy in hopes of a v8. I'm aspiring towards a traditional looking lowrider. Thanks for any input.http://s1212.photobucket.com/user/bu...?sort=3&page=1 I paid 1 less zero than whats in the windshield.
